About · Nathan Roy

Marketing help for people who actually do the work.

I'm Nathan Roy — a Philly-based marketing strategist, startup operator, and former Army Blackhawk mechanic. I've spent the last 10 years in tech marketing and sales, including time at HubSpot, helping all kinds of businesses use inbound marketing to generate more leads.

I've worked with large enterprises, scrappy startups (one of which I helped grow to 80,000+ LinkedIn followers), and a lot of small local businesses just trying to get more calls and more customers.

But before any of that, I spent 6 years in the military turning wrenches on Blackhawks. That part matters to me a lot. The people I want to help aren't trying to be influencers or build "personal brands." They're regular people who work with their hands, do hard jobs, and are trying to build honest businesses in their local communities.

That's a big part of why I left tech. I wanted to take what I learned from a decade in marketing and use it to help more hard-working local business owners get more out of the internet — without needing an advanced degree in marketing or a six-figure ad budget.

Three Magnets Marketing is the result. It's built for the plumbers, HVAC companies, electricians, roofers, power washers, auto detailers, mechanics, cleaners, and handymen around Philadelphia who'd rather be on a job than wrestling with ad platforms.

The playbook is simple: three magnets working at the same time — Discovery (local SEO, Google Maps, AI answer engines, and social profiles that build trust), Conversion (online booking, AI call & SMS follow-up, and missed-call text-back so no leads slip through), and Retention (reviews, stay-in-touch email & SMS, and referral systems that turn one job into many) — so your business is easier to find, easier to trust, and easier to hire again.
